#2. I think it would be ridiculous to use it only if you hate the story/myth of Tristan & Isolde, but not liking the name Tristan doesn't really matter, imo.
#3. I used to think it was "supposed" to be prn. ih-ZOLE-duh, but now I know there are tons of other pronunciatons. :-/ That's my personal reason for not wanting to use it, btw. But the above pronunciation is still my favorite. :)
