[Opinions] pretty nickname for Patricia
I was looking at my baby name book last night and saw the name Trissa as a nickname for Patricia. I really like it! I've always liked the names Trisha/Tricia and Trish as nicknames-Trissa seems very feminine and more modern than Trisha. I would love to use the name myself-as either a full name or nickname for Patricia, but Trissa sounds bad with our last name. Too bad.WDYT of Trissa??

Trissa is nice.
My mom's name is Patricia and she goes by many nn depending on who it is. Patty, Trisha and Tia

I like Patricia, but I really don't concern myself with nicknames, since I feel they should be left up to the child. I guess it's OK.

It's nice, but it doesn't seem very related to Patricia that much. It's cute though.

Trissa sounds cute. I've met a Tris before, but not Trissa. For nicknames to Patricia, my favorite is Tricia.

I prefer Tricia/ Trisha or Trish (definitely not Pat for a newborn baby! :) Trissa sounds prissy, like an -issa ending is being forced. Names like Melissa, Vanessa, Elissa, etc. with historical/ literary background don't seem so as much as a nn- I hope I'm explaining myself fairly well. ;)
