[Facts] Re: What does Slaine mean?
It's pronounced SLAWN-uh or SLAWN-yuh.A couple of little footnotes: there are two ways of saying "health" in Gaelic: one is Slan (s-l-a fada [a mark that makes the "a" a long-a]-n), which is also used for "Goodbye", the other is Slainte (s-l-a fada-i-n-t-e), which, as Nanaea put it so eloquently, also means either "Cheers!" or "Health to you!".I hope I haven't confused you with my little Gaelic lesson. :)
