from Hensley (Devonshire)Unfortunately my Oxford Dirctionary of Plance-names doesn't have Hensley. But it hasHENLEY: "high wood or clearing" / "wood or clearing frequented by hens (of wild birds)"

Robert de la Lauendrie 1278 "worker in a wash-house", Middle English "lavendrie"
