One Year Later:
Dinah and her three beautiful children have been getting along wonderfully. To make life easier for them in the United States, and to represent the fact that they are now a part of a new family, each of the three has taken a new first name.
Jaswinder Neha is Gwendolyn Jaswinder Neha Morris, called Winnie. She was very unsure and untrusting when she first arrived, but after several months' hard work allowing her to learn to believe in her new mother, she has blossomed. Still a quiet, shy girl, she loves flowers and working in the garden with Mommy and her siblings. She will start kindergarten in the fall.
Ming Chin is Wilhelmina Ming Chin Morris, called Billie. Billie acted out a great deal when she and her twin brother first arrived; she was scared of her new surroundings and overwhelmed by the changes in her life. She is learning English quickly and loves to sing new songs she's learned, like, "Michael, row the boat ashore" and "Sugar Mountain." She is in ESL courses at the local elementary school, along with her brother.
Qiu Wei is now Quincy Qiu Wei Morris. He is the calmer of the twins, and has been harder to pry out of his shell. :)
