The "u" in Welsh is pronounced "ee". I'm afraid, therefore, that I must disagree with the other poster.
Eye-lee-ned would be the correct pronounciation. For some reason, however, most bearers of that name soften the "u" sound and tend to pronounce it "Eye - lyn - ed" or even "El - lyn -ed".

You're absolutely correct. I'm sorry, I forgot about the 'u' turning to an 'ee' sound. I think I was confusing it with 'y' which is sometimes and 'ee' sound and sometimes a 'u' sound. I'm always confusing the two.
