[Opinions] Re: Ramona
in reply to a message by Emily
My favorite name for a couple years now. I was always surprised it wasn't trendy, it seems to have a few very compelling elements (ends in a, 3 syllables...could be the new Isabella). It always felt tipped towards the edge of trendiness, and I think this may be the push. That said, I LOVE it. And if a little trendiness doesn't bother you (the overwhelming majority of people say no, I think, mostly on Ramona Quimby, Age 8 grounds). It's so spunky and melodious. My favorite combo is Ramona Fay. In the past, I've gone for Ramona Lou, Ramona June, Ramona Beatrice, Ramona Juno (really liking this as I type it out).

I love the books too! Don't get me wrong. I think a lot of people just find the association too overwhelming to consider using the name.

Ramona Beatrice may be a bit TOO Ramona Quimby, since her sister's name was Beatrice in the book, wasn't it?Generate Your Own Glitter Graphics @ GlitterYourWay.com - Image hosted by ImageShack.us
