LOL .... There are a few names ruined for me because of connotations, too.
Kay on a boy (as in the Arthurian knight) was ruined because
Kay was an ex-boyfriend's surname, and in fact people often called him
Kay (addressing people by their surnames was fashionable at high school). Also
Tiffany, because although it's never been popular here (I've never met or even heard of a
Tiffany where I live) and therefore comes with no baggage, I know from the folk on BtN that it doesn't stereotype well in the States, and that puts me off it.

Madoline is my favourite spelling.
