All I think of is the TV show "Andromeda." It's not a bad connotation, just a strong one. If I met a little girl named Andromeda I'd immediately think her parents were obsessed with sci-fi.
I do think Andromeda is a lovely name, though. Annie or Andie make great nicknames.
Ivah's NMS but Ivah Winifred sounds great. What about Ivah Frances, Ivah Kelly, or Ivah Georgette?
