I prefer
Scarlet. But as with
Siena (which I prefer over
Sienna) I am not sure if I would go with
Scarlet because
Scarlett is so much more common. I guess in the end it is easier to choose
Sienna and
Scarlett.
If I had to use
Scarlett I would probably go with the most common spelling. As for
Siena, it is not so popular in general and I like the city so much and so I would stick with
Siena even though she'd have to correct it. At least it's easy to say "
Siena, like the city".
By the way, if you do have a very strong preference I think you should use
Scarlet. "scarlet, spelled like the color" is quite easy to say after all.
I dislike the name. It reminds me of "skeleton" and "scar". But I don't hate it.
Also,
Scarlett O'Hara. She was an interesting character but not really a great namesake.
