Funny this name would pop up. I'm sitting in my husband's hospital room and his nurse is Lauryn. I always want to pronounce names like this with a short "i" sound. As in LOR-inn.

I think those named Lauryn expect their names to be pronounced the same as Lauren is, whereas I tend to pronounce the two names differently; LOR-inn for Lauryn and LOR-un for Lauren. I don't think my post was as clear as it could have been.
