They chose strong names used in Nepal for their first names – Edhita can mean to grow strong or rise and Shikari means hunter - and names that are spelled exact/closely in both Nepal and Estonia for their middle names.

Suraj gets a promotion and is now the head of the nonprofit that he’s worked at for so long and means so much to him.

Good thing Suraj got that promotion last year! The Dhakals have had another daughter, Lehti, with straight, blond hair and brown eyes.

Endo is having some trouble with friends at school and some anxiety because of it so his parents are getting him therapy.

Davith is living up to his middle name Taido’s meaning of artistic and, like his mother, is working in that field, although he is studying to be an artist himself and makes some money doing graphic design freelance already. Taisia is in culinary school. Also, they had a baby! They wanted names that would in Russia and Estonia and gave her a Georgian middle name, which, like her father’s, means artistic. Marina has wavy, blond hair and blue eyes.

It’s another surprise for the Dhakals, and similar but not quite the typical one. Chakori told Suraj and Mari that she was pregnant and took the opportunity to introduce them (over Skype) to her as-yet-unknown boyfriend, Akseli, whom she met and had a brief, passionate affair with while he was on holiday from Finland with his family. Their baby – make that babies (twins run in the family after all) – arrived five months later!! They’re fraternal, a little girl Juulika who shares Akseli’s wavy, blond hair and green eyes and boy Hendrik, also with wavy, blond hair and Chakori’s brown eyes. Aksel and his parents again visited Russia to see them born. The future will tell whether the young lovers stay together as a couple, but their father is interested in at least keeping in contact and helping to support his children.
