Isn't
Roni pronounced roh-nee? Not like
Ronnie, but like macaroni?
I don't like either one. Although I can understand if a
Veronica used
Roni "Rah-nee" or
Ronnie as a nick. I think
Ronnie is better as a nickname than
Roni, because
Roni looks like Roh-nee to me.
Liron is nicer than
Roni, and so is
Rani IMO.
Ronnie sounds dated in a sort-of-bad way to me, like
Donnie or
Marty or
Jerry. Doesn't have the spunkiness of
Charlie and
Frankie.
