We've recently had a calico cat and her three kittens paying us visits, and we've been feeding them. There is a house a couple of blocks away where the yard is full of cats and kittens. These people let their cats breed, and it's quite irresponsible. We figure that is where this cat and kittens came from. Oh, so yeah, I named the calico Minnie.
It's a perfect example of a people name that I don't like on people but would use for a pet.
I'm not sure whether or not it's usable. It makes me think of Minnie Mouse and Minnie Castevet, from "Rosemary's Baby", who, in spite of being a Satanist, was a somewhat comical character. A blend of sinister and comical. I think that the name Minnie has a slight comical vibe. I don't know. I wouldn't want to be named Minnie, I know that.
