I think it got overused for a while there. But not worse than, say,
Sarah or
Paul. I like it, although it's not a favorite because it makes me think of the Bible and that makes me feel like it's not for me (since I'm not religious or Bible-educated, and don't really grasp what-all the name
Matthew connotes). I like the name
Matt. I've liked almost every
Matt I've met. It's great.
