I missed that part.

So..
I pronounce it jah-NEES.
The a is long and open.
The ee is long as well.

I saw that in Italy Janice is used but very very rare. No more than five Janice/year were born here.

I doubt there are many people pronouncing it Ja-NEES in Italy.
