[Opinions] Re: Athena
in reply to a message by Perrine
There were two Athena's in my high school. There were also at least two Gaia's.
I much prefer Athena to Athina.
I have no idea how Athena is perceived in Greece or in the US. I have no idea why it has become more popular in the US in the last fews years.
I know we had so many Athena's at my high school because my school had a lot of kids whose parents were hippies. We also had a lot of Hazel's. I feel like my school was ahead of the trends although Hazel has been more poplar in WA state than in most other states for a long while now.
Athena is #142 in the US but it is #99 right now in WA state.
I always think of Athena as a strong feminine name. I mean Athena always was one of the cooler goddesses.
