Francesca & Rahda's marriage has grown weak after the birth of their first child, Diya. Francesca wanted to leave Hong Kong and move back to the states to raise their family. Radha loved his job and did not want to leave. Between their conflicting views about the move, Radha's workaholics nature, Francesca's PPD + regret over her own derailed career, and the teeny-tininess of Hi g King living space, something was bound to explode. And it did - shortly after Diya's first birthday, Francesca moved back to the States for six with her daughter but without her husband. It could have easily been divorce. But Francesca and Radha discovered they really missed each other. After networking for a bit in the states, Francesca was able to take her scientific background d and use it to start editing scientific blogs and publications. It was a job she could to anywhere / including Hong Long. More secure in her identity and no longer struggling with depresseion, Francesca & Diya moved home. But not to their old home - Radha bought a two bedroom and apartment for the family. It was expensive, but Radha was doing so well in his career that he could afford it. The larger (though still tiny compared to the US) space really helped everyone.
After her struggle with PPD, Francesca did not want to risk another pregnancy despite wanting at least one - maybe Even more than one - more child. Surprisingly, it was the passing of her beloved cat Lin Min that inspired her and Radha to try for their second child / it made them both realize life was too short to be afraid. Radha quickly conceived despite her advanced maternal age. She gave birth to their son Jett Augustus Delfino-Kapoor three weeks early, but very healthy. Jett's first name is in honor of a good childhood friend of Radha's who sadly passed away in their twenties. Francesca is a bit shy to admit it, but she picked the middle name from a list on nameberry. Appearenyly kingly names were a 2017 trend, but Francesca did not think of the roman empires when she heard Augustus, she just liked the name. The whole family is in love with the new baby. Despite being almost forty with a very new child, Francesca and Radha are talking about having another.
