I love basically all "Mair" starting names.
I love Meredith- it's been in my top list before. I also like a contracted, Mareth.
It's a little bit dated, I guess, in that it was once used more frequently than it is now, but I wouldn't REALLY consider it to be a dated name. I don't feel like it was ever really popular enough to give that impression.
Side note: I also like the idea of a Meredith whose nickname is Mirth :)
