[Facts] Re: meaning and origin of first and last name
Clock is possibly a variation of Glock, a Germanic surname indicating one's ancestors lived by the bell tower of a church. Hanks & Hodges's A Dictionary of Surnames gives Clocke as the Flemish form and Klok and Klokke as Dutch forms of Glock. My Dutch name dictionary (Woordenboek van Voornamen by J. Van Der Schaar) says that Marchien is used as a pet form of both Margareta and Maria in the province of Drenthe in the Netherlands.

Thank you so much,so appreciated. Where would I find this book, Woordenboek van Voornamen by J. Van Der Schaar?

You would probably have to special order this book unless you live in a very large city where there are bookstores that carry foreign language titles. One place to order foreign language books over the Internet in the USA is Schoenhof's:http://www.schoenhofs.com/

I forgot to say that my name came from my Great Grandmother and the original spelling was Margien.

Margien and Marchien would be pronounced the exact same way in Dutch...
To my sweet muse
Every time you rip my heart out
Every time you break it
I pick up the pen I hold in my hands
And write the most beautiful poems
But you know what
If it's alright by you
I'd rather be happy than a poet
