I know of a worse one - when I was a kid there was a woman who lived on my street named Anita Cox.. she should've stuck with her maiden name.JennMommy to:

Ouch!At the very least, she should have hyphenated the surnames!BTW, there are similar surnames in my area: Babcock, Badcock and Aycock. I keep wishing some of them would get married so I could chuckle over the Sunday paper. ;-)

Badcock? Oh that's unfortunate! There are SO many similar surnames in my area - I know people with the surnames Haycock, Alcock AND Hiscock!

LOL, I've heard of Alcock before which is bad enough but have never heard of Hiscock. So many naming possibilities ...

My sister's second husband's last name was Hitchcock. It was her last name while she was married to him, which was only a matter of three years. I never thought much of it. There was Alfred Hitchcock, after all.
