I hate the name Polly. Hate it. Just hate it. Nothing but pure hatred in me for this name.
I agree with you about "cute" names. Polly, even if one likes it, should not be on a birth certificate.
Polly has traditionally been a nickname for Mary, which I am sure that someone or probably many have already said, and that's the only name that I can see it as nickname for.
