I think I'm the only person on BtN who loves Alex for a boy or a girl. Most people seem to hate it, but I don't know why. I think it's a good name.

I love Alexander and Alexandra (would consider both) and the only nn I like for both of them is Alex. It is so friendly and approachable and a truly unisex name.

Ok, I dislike Alexandra and Alex on girls and am not enthused by Alexander but I really love just Alex, on a boy

I really am fond of Alexandra (nn Alex) for a girl (more so than for a boy).
