Even though I'm not a fan of counter-intuitive nicknames, many of those are sensible to me, such as Bee for Phoebe, Zanna for Susannah, Celie for Cecilia, and Nell for Penelope. Each of those nicknames are within the name, if you know what I mean. Carlo, Ridge, Garrett, and Andie just seem odd.I am also Fee (I spell it Fi and I also use Fia). It's short for Fiammetta, and the most intuitive you can get for my name. I've seen suggestions somewhere for nicknames like Mia and Amy, which kind of baffle me. Even Etta would make more sense.

I know a Phoebe whose dad calls her Phoebes- it sounds like Thebes, the ancient Egyptian city, and an Athena nn Tina.
