I like Georgie but I really detest Marnie. I don't know what for, but it just rubs me the wrong way.
Marnie: Marina, any Mary name, Marta / Martha. Otherwise, you probably could use it on its own.
Georgie: Georgia, Georgiana (jor-JAH-nah rather than Georgie-Ana), Georgette, Georgeanne, Georgianne, Georgina, Georgetta. I definitely wouldn't use this on its own--it's too "Georgie Girl" for me then.
