I knew two Melinda's on my color gaurd squad when I was in high school! This was in the 90's.
While the name never became really popular, it is so similar to Linda that it has the same feel and I associate it with Baby Boomers and Generation X.
Since I don't really love it, I'm stuck on middle names.
Confession: I thought Melinda went well with the last name of the guy I liked in high school, and I thought about using it when I was a kid, but now I find the name much too dated.
