First, I like the actress and think that her full name Angelina Jolie is great. Jolie on it's own is nice, but not something I'd use (just like I wouldn't use Happy or Vesela).
Jolly goes into the same word category to me.
Joely would make a good nickname for Josephine, but I still like Josie better.
Jola is pronounced with a Y. Jole (yo-leh) is a common nickname for Josip here and I'm not a fan of either.
Other forms in my name book: Jolee, Joley, Joli, Joliet, Jolietta, Joliette.
