For a girl, I wouldn't. I wouldn't want to be a woman named Ashton. The sht part ... I wouldn't wanna hear it every time I was addressed, and I wouldn't want to sound like I had a man name, either. Besides, as an obvious surname name, it sounds like it's trying hard to seem classy, and ... well, who would feel the need to try? The question answers itself.
