Let's hope the mother was pulling your leg. It's a sad day when I'm rooting for the kid's name to be Brooklyn Nicole, nn Cookie.
I have no problem with nns being odd or even weird. As long as the child has a more formal name to fall back on, then I don't see any lasting harm. But here, Cooklyn is the real problem to me. I really, really hope her name is Brooklyn. *sigh*
