The Bingleys are proud to announce the birth of another beautiful baby girl! Baptised Iris Catherine Bingley, Mr. and Mrs. Bingley had intended for her name to be Iris Mary Bingley, after Jane's Aunt Gardiner, Mrs. Bennet, and one of Jane's sisters; however, Mr. Collins, serving as Iris' godfather, replied to the vicar that the baby's name was Iris Catherine Bingley, after his most revered patroness, Lady Catherine de Bourgh. Jane and Charles decided to think of the change in name as being after Jane's sister, Mrs. Catherine (Kitty) Parker.
Frank and Flora, along with their cousins Georgina (10), George (9), and Liddy (7) Wickham, Bennet (10) and Nancy (8) Darcy, and Harry Parker (7) have all been sent off to school, much to the sadness of their various siblings and other cousins. Mr. and Mrs. Bingley served as patron and patroness of the Wickham children, as they have these past seven years, while Mr. and Mrs. Darcy were patron and patroness to Harry.
