I don't know! I just find it really crisp and spirited. Even though it's pretty popular and verging on trendy, it still seems a bit dignified and stately. And dh's middle name is Alexander, and as a female alternative, I really hate Alexandra and Alexandria and Alexis. So it's Alexa and Alexia for me. Alexia fits in with my more flowery names better, but can't use it because of the disorder.
