[Games] Welcome Brittany and Neal!
in reply to a message by britto08
You received Brittany Aileen and Neal Joseph from Prince Edward Island, Canada. The mother is giving them up because recent financial straits have completely destroyed her ability to take care of her children. The family is Presbyterian, but only wishes that their children be taken to church at least monthly.
Brittany is 22 months, beginning to walk and talk, but has mild cerebral palsy, so her walking is weak. She is very outgoing and loves to make various objects into toys. She loves to read and play with animals, and she makes friends very easily. Her cerebral palsy will require semi-frequent doctor's visits and braces as she grows older, but it is a mild case and she should lead a nearly-normal life. Physical therapy will also help. She is small for her age. She has dishwater blonde hair and blue eyes.
Neal is a newborn. His birth mother requested that their names not be changed, especially Neal's, which honors his grandfather. He has no mental, physical, or emotional disabilities and is a quiet baby with a big smile and lovely blue eyes.
Please send our agency an update on the children!

Our life has been so much richer since Britt and Neal came to us! The past two years have gone by so fast! Brittany has grown into a beautiful little girl. Her hair darkened a little into a lovely golden brown, and her eyes have stayed a beautiful blue. She and Neal look very much alike. Neal's hair is the same color Brittany's was when they came to us, and he has dimples in his beautiful smile.
Brittany's cerebal palsy has recently become frustrating to her, as she is in preschool and cannot run and play with her friends. Her doctor put her in leg braces just before she started preschool, and while she is able to walk without crutches she is still stiff and cannot run. She is popular with her classmates despite this, as she is funny and smart and knows a lot of hand games and board games that Sam taught her. She and Sam are quite close, and Sam will tell off any of the older kids who make fun of her little sister.
Both of the girls dote upon Neal. He is a chatty and active three-year-old and loves to follow Jeremy and me around the house. He is a very happy little boy and loves to play with his sisters and his daycare friends. He and Lulu, our dog, are the best of friends, and he often will use her as a pillow when eh falls asleep on the floor. Sam and Britt are trying to teach him to read already, altough he would rather "read" to them, making up stories to go along with the pictures the way Britt did when she was younger.
We have kept in contact with their mother, sending her pictures and letters every month. She has not seen them since she gave them up for adoption, but she has called them a few times. Neither of them remember her, but they do know that they were adopted and what that means. Thank you so much for giving us our two younger children!
