Allegra Smoke
Allegra is a very quiet girl who always has her nose stuck in a book. She doesn't socialize well with others and her only friends are Cairo and September.
Aspen Gale
Always the talkative one Aspen never seems to shut up. Which she gets in trouble for almost everyday. She's a good kid though and is friends with Haven, Obsidian, Tansy and Violet but seems closest to Briory.
Ballad Merlin
Ballad is always in trouble, he is constantly talking out and mouthing off. The only people he seems close to are Midnight and Starling.
Briory Innocent
Briory is one of the 'popular' girls, along with Aspen, Haven, Tansy and Violet and is always with them as well as Obsidian.
Cairo Lisbon
Cairo is a smart boy, not all that talkative, and generally sticks close to Allegra and September.
Dragan Larkspur
Dragan is young goth boy, he is quiet in the 'come-near-me-and-I'll-bite-you' kind of way and only seems to let Rhythm near him.
Evening Thyme
Evening is a dance student, along with Symphony, and she is constantly seen flitting about the playground with her best friend.
Haven Cherish
Haven is a very girly-girl, always coming to school in skirts and blouses. She is close to Aspen, Briory, Obsidian, Tansy and Violet and can be seen giggling with the four girls of their group often.
Memory Horizon
Memory is a very shy child who rarely speaks and when she does it is in a soft voice that you can barely hear. She is often made fun of because she doesn't talk to anyone and is almost always seen writing in some kind of book.
Mercy Africa
Mercy is a music junkie along with Raven and Phoenix, although she usually only hangs out with Raven, and is never seen without her iPod and some kind of band T-shirt on, most often Three Days Grace, Linkin Park or MCR.
Midnight Story
Midnight doesn't really care about much other than his two friends, Ballad and Starling, and is always playing his guitar.
Obsidian Meadow
Obsidian is the main male jock but doesn't hang out with the other sports lovers in his class preferring, instead, to be around Aspen, Briory, Haven, Tansy and Violet - who he has a crush on.
Phoenix Journey
Phoenix is obsessed with music and books and is always debating with Whisper about different ways stories could have gone or why certain characters acted a certain way. He is usually with Whisper but when she isn't at school he hangs around Mercy and Raven.
Raven Piper
Raven is always with Mercy, he loves music just as much as she does and they are often seen sharing playlists and different artists they found out about that they other might like. They both like each other but have decided to wait until they are in High School to do anything because they want to see what happens.
Rhythm Serenity
Rhythm is a very dark child, she only dresses in black and the only person she tolerates for more than two minutes is Dragan. They are very close, although their relationship remains platonic.
September Justice
September is the more talkative out of Cairo, Allegra and herself but she will happily take a book over most human companionship regularily.
Starling Morrow
Starling is a very happy little girl, flouncing about often. She is friendly to everyone in the class and no one seems to ever have a bad word to say about her but she is closest to Ballad and Midnight.
Symphony Essence
Symphony is an intelligent girl but she pours most of her energy into dance and is rarely awake in class. She and Evening are always seen together and they do not associate with anyone else really.
Tansy Argent
Tansy and Violet are identical twins and are both friends with the same people - Aspen, Briory, Haven and Obsidian - but their similarities end there. Tansy is more artistic than her sister and can often be seen singing or playing the piano when she is not with her friends.
Violet Lyric
Violet is very sports-oriented, like Obsidian whom she seems to have developed a crush on, but enjoys acting like a girl sometimes - rare though those times may be - and is seen most often with her twin sister Tansy, Aspen, Briory, Haven and Obsidian.
Whisper Infinity
Whisper is rarely in school, she doesn't skip but her parents often jet her off to different places with them because they want her to experience the world. When she is at school she only hangs out with Phoenix and they have wonderful discussions. Both have discussed books and music at length and have decided that they both want to write someday. They encourage each other all the time and are the best of friends, although I kind of think there might be something more there.
