I don't see anything wrong with a non-Jewish family using the name Solomon; there are plenty non-secular people with Biblical names, and nobody seems to have a problem with that.

I kind of like it; it has a dignified feel, but at the same time it doesn't sound pretentious. However, I prefer it as a middle name only.
