Yes, they are all names of relatives! I've gone back pretty far thanks to the Drouin Collection and help from cousins. I like to look into the families of brothers and sisters of my great-greats as well, and when each couple had 10+ children and each of their children had 10+ there are a lot of names!
Of course you have to go through a million
Joseph's, Jean-Baptiste's
Pierre's,
Francois's,
Marie's,
Louise's, and
Anne's, before you get to the interesting names.
As for the name
Edwige. There were a few distant cousins who had this name. My great grandmothers sisters name was actaully spelt Hedwidge, probably spelt that way so she wouldn't be confused with her cousin
Edwige.
Zephirin was one of my great grandmothers brothers middle names. Yes, the French are notorious for their middle names! That also lengthened the list. His whole name was
Joseph Hormisdas
Valentin Zephirin. Also, many children had a "pre-name" of
Marie and
Joseph but always went by their second name.
