My sister's name is Adrianna (which I prefer to the single n version), but a few weeks ago, I was thinking about how cool it would be if her name was Adrienne. It's light, strait-forward and honest. (I'm not sure how names can be honest, but that's what it makes me think of.)
Being completely honest with myself, I do think that I say Adrian (masculine only) and Adrienne the same way. I have a small feeling that they will both become popular, which would be nice, but realistically, they won't be that big.
