How about Laurence "Lars"? I really like Laurence "Laurie", but this would be interesting, too.
Lars sounds very Nordic-Swedish-Norvegian to me. To this cathegory belong names like Nils and Sven. It is not a bad image, just very simple and...farmerish. :D (I know most of people would say the same thing about Finnish names like Matti, Antti and Juha. They wouldn't be wrong :D) And for some reason I really dislike last names made out of these names: Larsson, Johansson, Svensson. Maybe that's because I like -son in any names, overall.
