If it's English, my guess is it's just an obscure nickname for something. I've certainly never heard of a name Zaddie. It could also be a nickname for a difficult foreign name, made more English-friendly. I would pronounce it like it's written, those letters can't make Zadie. Where did you come across it? Let us know if you solve the mystery!
