- Samuel Alexander is a 3 month old from the Western United States. His mother did not want a child, so she gave him up for adoption. He has a weak neck for a baby his age. The doctors don't yet know what caused it or if it's a serious problem, but they warn to be careful and gentle when lifting him and laying him down.

- Ava Mei is a four year old girl born in China (to a Chinese man and an Iranian mother). She has silky black hair and big brown eyes. She loves to be read to, to play with dolls, to dance, and to help cook. She doesn't speak English, instead, a mixture of Chinese and Persian. Her foster parents raised her without a religion.

- Alwin Frans Jacobus is a ten year old from the Netherlands. He speaks semi-fluent English in addition to his native Dutch. He has brown hair and light blue eyes. He likes reading, listening to music, viewing art, playing korfbal, and playing ice hockey. He was raised a Catholic and would like to keep praticing.
