Actually, I find 80% of French feminine names frilly. I imagine some young girl from 19th century in pink clothes writing a letter like: "Dear Fifi! Cosette came this afternoon to me and said, that Alexandrine had a lovely dress last evening... How are you and my darling cousin Mimi?" :P
