I don't really like Wilder at all for a boy. I wouldn't mind it as a middle name if it were a family surname or something, but otherwise it sounds a bit silly to me. I like Ville a lot. I would pronounce it VEEL-eh (you can listen to it here: http://www.sci.fi/~kajun/finns/male.htm ). I met one of my friend's friends in Finland who had the name.
