I think Agnes and Magnus are okay to use in real life, although I'm not fond of either. I prefer Agatha over Agnes, because it sounds prettier and would age more gracefully, imo. I absolutely love Ingrid and have since I read 'Dream Weaver' many years ago. I think Gilbert is okay and useable, and I like Gil over Gilly, although neither are terrible.
