[Opinions] Re: March 2007 BA's Part 1 [a girl named Elijah and more]
in reply to a message by Sabrina Fair
Oh my, oh my. Boston Ronald sounds a bit like a nickname one would acquire through some notorious activity, like robbing banks or gambling or something. And Cashin Ace could be his gambling partner. Dempsey Patrick sounds like he was named after the actor. I wish people wouldn't use Addison for girls, and I wish people would stop using the name Dakota altogether because I've been to the Dakotas and it's rather a bleak place to be naming one's child after it. And I just can't see a grown woman named Stormy. Also, naming a boy Cadence seems a little inadvisable since most Cadences are female, and although I like the name Cannon pairing it with Thunder makes it a little ridiculous. I don't even want to discuss naming a child Anakin because I'm sure whatever I say will have been said before somewhere at some time.
Now that I've gotten rid of the negative, let's move on to the positive. I like:
James - very traditional, can see it on a boy or a man
Justice - it's okay, I wouldn't use it though. I like how it was used for both a boy and a girl.
Guadalupe - prefer it for a girl, but whatever. I think it's a bit long when paired with Trinidad though.
Trinidad - I like the way it sounds, and it's a place name I've never heard used before. Especially nice if the family has some actual connection to the place.
Catalina Independence - Catalina is a beautiful name, and although I'd never use Independence as a first name, it makes a strong middle name that is reminiscent of virtue names imo.
Echo - although I can see kids making fun of this name, it is legitimately pulled from mythology and I like the way it sounds
Gretel - again, there could be Hansel and Gretel jokes, but I like the sound of the name
Heaven - I'm glad they didn't spell it backwards.
Nina - a cute name
River Rose - I liked this until I thought of flooding. I do like River, though.
