If we were to define a "real name" as one that's borne by more than one unrelated person on the planet, than Canny qualifies. I knew a fellow with this first name in the US Army a few decades back. Unfortunately, the difference in our ranks at the time (I was the low man) prevented me from asking personal questions like how he got his name. Mostly I called him "Sergeant."
