Congrats!
Congrats to Sabrina and Anthony! We have found a brother and a sister for your children, River and Charlotte.
1- Li-Ju Iris Nielson is a Chinese-American girl, 6 years old. She was born in Beijing but her parents later moved to Seattle, Washington when Li-Ju was almost three. Her father died of lung cancer and her mother feels like she can't take care of her on her own, though she wants to stay in contact. Li-Ju speaks more English than Chinese because she moved to the US at such a young age. She loves to swim and often stays in the bathtub for hours if we don't set limits. She is very polite and has an adorable, infectious laugh. She has pale skin, black hair, dark brown eyes, and slight limp from a recent sprained ankle.
2- Sho Hikaru Yukimura is a 2-year-old boy from Japan. He was abused by his parents and is horribly afraid of all adults. It would be wise to let him play with River and Charlotte a lot at first, and keep him from meeting new adults until he gets used to you and your husband. He has gotten to meet Li-Ju in these past few weeks here at the agency, and she is very protective of him. They are wonderful friends, and I suspect that she will be an important influence in his life. (We do not think that this fear counts as a "disability" since he will grow out of it, but we're sorry if you think otherwise.) He has coarse black hair and small dark brown eyes.
Please let us know how Li-Ju and Sho do in their new home!
