Re: You Say You Think
in reply to a message by Elle
This is my son Moses Jorge.
You say: Hi, Moses.
You think: Hm, not a bad combo, but not wonderful flow either, it's just kind of there. Somehow the moods of Moses and Jorge just don't really fit together to me.This is my son Romeo Allen.
You say: Hi, Romeo.
You think: Eek. Poor kid; everyone who meets him is going to think, "Romeo and Juliet." Please let him be a kid who can laugh it off, and please, please, please let him avoid meeting any Juliets until he's grown up--adults could hopefully refrain from the obvious teasing. This is my daughter Coia Aurora Lynn.
You say: Hi, Coia. I've never heard that name before; where does it come from?
You think: Coia Aurora is a bit of a mouthful--they kind of slur into each other when I say it. Of course, I find Aurora a bit awkward to say anyway, although it is pretty--both the concept and the sound. I'm not sure what to think about Coia; not a bad sound, but I still feel like there are some consonants missing in the middle. Lynn is nice with either of the other names, though; Aurora Lynn would be nice, and Coia Lynn isn't bad either.
