Freddy had just turned one when we recieved word that a young girl from England was expecting quads. We adopted her within five months. Madison is a frightened young girl--the victim of rape. She is very insecure and clearly mistrusts men (even Wil). She has enjoyed living here, and helping me take care of the kids; however, since her pregnancy has progressed it has become difficult for her to do much in the way of playing with the kids. I've been trying to help her as much as possible, but it is hard to see someone so young enduring so much. She hasn't thought much about names yet, but has mentioned being fond of Charlotte, Anna, Kelsey, and Olivia for girls. She doesn't know of any boys names that she would like.

All the other kids are doing well. Freddy is walking already, and is the most developmentally advanced of all the kids at his age. Adam is three and began preschool last fall. Perry and Gawihir are six, and in first grade. They play well with other kids and, while they share a unique bond, do not shut out the rest of the world to be by themselves. Carly and Kami are in second grade. Carly has taken up dance. Kami still does gymnastics and recently participated in her first "competition". We're all so proud of her. Janie is still working on her nursing degree. She hopes to specialize in obstetrics and/or gynecology. Wil and I are encouraging her as much as we can. Piper, the Cocker Spaniel pup, is loving having all these kids around to play with--especially the older ones.
