No one can believe it's been three years since what we as a family call the Wedding and Baby year. Though this year is almost as eventful in such ways! Talia and Alexis have been married for three years, and have newborn, beautiful, twin daughters. They are amazed. Lissa and Miles have gotten married last year, and their daughter Lilias is three now. We have had our second child, another son.
Talia and Alexis are doing fabulously. They make frequent trips to France, to maintain a relationship with Alexis's family and with the country, but they reside in Washington only a block from Adrian and I. They are extremely happy. Especially now that they have started a family. After about two years of marriage, they decided that they both really wanted children, even though they thought they may not previously. Now, they've been doubly blessed. The twins arrived on May 14 by emergency C-section, Aurore at 3:09 pm, at 5 lbs, 1 oz, and Christelle at 3:11 pm, at 6 lbs, 1 oz. They are beautiful and identical, and since they are only a few days older than Milo, we have plenty of play dates! Talia and Alexis are fabulous parents already.
Lissa and Miles have been quite pleased as well. They have gotten married last year, in our local church on October 29. Their daughter Lilias was very involved in the wedding and came along on the honeymoon to Mexico. Lilias Kaye is now three years old, (her birthday was October 29th) and the funniest, most dramatic little girl. She loves to dress up, color, make jokes, and prove people wrong. Despite her love of being right, she is very polite. She is going to preschool 3 days a week. She isn't liking it too well, but she is loving her dance class.
Our newest addition is baby Milo, born May 18. He is the spitting image of his brother, except for the little bit of wavy texture to his hair. Although Adrian had been hoping for a daughter, and I had been wishing for a second son, we were both equally pleased when Milo turned out male. He is now a month old and loves, loves, loves to play with Aurore and Christelle. They are the cutest little trio. Put them on a mat together, and they'll kick around and babble at each other for hours. Milo is not as nice of a sleeper as his brother was, but he eats so well. He is quite the Mr. Chubbers.
Speaking of Ian, he has adjusted so well, and no one can quite believe he's three. He is a little shy, but once he gets to know you, he loves to talk. He is also very interested in trains and airplanes. Whenever he hears one, he'll stop, and make Adrian or I look for it. His favorite books are about Thomas the train! He is so happy to have a brother. He is very gentle and asks a ton of questions about Milo. "Why can't baby jump?" is a favorite :D
