Well, a lot has happened!
Zac's sister Ellen and her husband Jacques had their second son, who they named Jean-Jacques and call JJ. He's a great toddler.
Zac and me decided to adopt. I've always thought it was a great idea, and when we heard from a relative who adopted a little girl from China how much she enjoyed it, I finally got Zac convinced.
So we adopted Emmanuel. He is 13 and from Ethiopia. We thought he would be shy, but he is very friendly and open. He is learning English (and French, too) fast. He loves to play soccer. Zac loves going outside to play with Manu. He has found friends who live close to us; they come and hang out with him whenever possible.
Ellen and Jacques have decided to stay with us some more. Of course, with Manu and JJ in the house, there are a lot of people in the house. Zac is thinking of turning the old stable (we don't have horses anymore) into part of the house.
Max, Thah and Tam are doing great. They love Manu and think he is great. Max has started to play soccer with Zac and Manu, but when Manu has his friends over, Max isn't allowed to play.
Zac is still a journalist for the local paper, but I gave up my teaching job at the school. I guess I just wanted to be with the kids more. I'm know hoping I'll get a job at the library.
