The swaying trees of Maple Woods Park served as the back drop for our perfect wedding. Even the light sprinkle of rain half way through the ceremony did little to dampen our spirits! Looking back on that day and I can see that the little "imperfections" that had bugged me at the time were really nothing. Our family and friends were there to celebrate our love in civil ceremony, and that's all that mattered. We had our reception in the The Boutique, a club that was shutting down. We realized it was a little unconventional, but it's where Davey and I first met. Plus the fact that we saved a lot on the local helped too. A lot of friends in attendance had been there before, and I found that it made everyone so much more comfortable to be in a familiar place. I couldn't have hoped for a better day! We went to Cuba for a honeymoon, and it was so wonderful. The food, the beach, the room! Davey had a little bout of food poisoning, however. And our return flight was delayed for 5 hours. Still, I'm trying to ignore the negatives, and focus on the wonderful two weeks we had.
